Privacy notice
How we handle your details – in plain English.
Who we are
This website is run by LCA Plant Services Limited (company no. 15870291), which carries out plant repairs, servicing and inspections, and LCA Plant Hire & Sales Limited (company no. 17514945), which hires and sells plant and tools. Both are based at 22 Forest Row, Stevenage, SG2 8BY. Whichever company you deal with is responsible for your details. Questions: info@lcaplantservices.co.uk or 07715 627911.
What this website collects
Nothing. The site has no cookies, tracking or advertising tools. The enquiry form doesn't send or store anything – it just opens WhatsApp or your email app with your message ready, and nothing reaches us unless you press send there.
What we receive when you contact us
The details you choose to give us – usually your name, phone number, email, site location, machine details and photos – plus, if you become a customer, what we need to quote, invoice and keep job, hire and inspection records.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote – our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To carry out work or a hire you've asked for – necessary for our contract with you.
- To keep accounts, invoices and LOLER inspection reports – to meet our legal obligations.
We never sell your details or use them for marketing lists.
Who else handles it
Only the services we use to run the business: our email provider (Google Workspace), WhatsApp if you message us there, our accountant, and Netlify, which hosts this website and may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep it running and secure. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under their own legal safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted once they're no longer needed. Customer, invoice and inspection records are kept for as long as the law requires (for example, tax and LOLER record-keeping rules) and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them – email info@lcaplantservices.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
